1 1/2 oz of sugar syrup (or simple syrup)
1/2 oz of Brandy
3 dash of Angostura bitters
7 oz of dry sparkling wine (or Champagne)
1/2 oz of kirschwasser cherry brandy (or Cherry brandy)
Pour all ingredients into a highball glass. Add a dusting of lemon or orange sherbet on top, and serve.
