1 oz of Cognac
1 oz of rye whiskey
1 tsp of simple syrup
3 dash of Peychaud Bitters

absinthe
Rinse a chilled old-fashioned glass with absinthe. Add crushed ice and set it aside. Stir the remaining ingredients over ice. Discard the ice and any excess absinthe from the prepared glass. Strain the mixture into the glass and serve with a lemon twist. This recipe is courtesy of Bordel in Chicago.
