4 oz of Vodka
1/4 tsp of maraschino syrup (or cherry syrup)
1 oz of Lime Juice
1/2 cup of sugar
1 1/2 oz of Light Rum
1/2 cup of boiling water (or water)
Make Kiwano Liqueur by dissolving 1/2 cup sugar in 2 1/2 cups boiling water. Mash the fruit of one ripe kiwano and add to the sugar water. Continue to boil for 3-5 minutes. Add 4 oz good vodka and allow to cool completely.\r
Using 3 oz of the Kiwano liqueur, mix ingredients over ice in Collins glass. Garnish with maraschino cherry and lime wedge.
