1/4 tsp of fennel
1/2 cup of milk
2 cup of water
2 of cardamon
2 tsp of loose black tea (or tea)
Combine the water, tea, cardamon, and fennel seeds in a large saucepan and simmer over low heat for 2-3 min. Add the milk and 1-2 min later or when the mixture returns to a simmer, strain the tea into 2 cups.Add sugar, if desired. Variation: to make Chai II without milk, combine the water, tea, cardamon, and fennel seeds in a large saucepan and simmer over low heat for 2-3 min. Strain the tea into 2 cups.
