Bourbon Sangaree - Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz of bourbon whiskey
  • 2 1/2 oz of club soda (alt: clear soda)
  • 1/2 oz of tawny port (alt: port)
  • 2 tsp of water
  • 1 twist of lemons
  • 1 tsp of superfine sugar (alt: sugar)
  • 1/8 tsp of ground cinnamon (alt: cinnamon)
  • 1/8 tsp of grated nutmeg (alt: nutmeg)

    • Instructions

    Pour bourbon whiskey and water into a highball glass. Add sugar, allow to dissolve. Almost fill the glass with crushed ice and club soda. Float the tawny port on top. Garnish with a twist of lemon peel, sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon, and serve.
