You will need 1 orange, 6 whole cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks, and 2 stars of anise. Slice the orange into thin rounds. Bring all ingredients to a simmer over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for at least 15 minutes. Strain the mixture and divide among four mugs. If you choose, garnish with additional orange slices or cinnamon sticks. Serves 4.
