Slide the orange into thin rounds. Use 2 cinnamon sticks, 6 allspice berries, and 6 whole cloves. Bring all ingredients to a simmer over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for at least 15 minutes. Strain the mixture and divide among four mugs. If you choose, garnish with additional orange slices or cinnamon sticks. Serves 4.
