Brazilian Hot Chocolate - Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/8 tsp of Salt
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of half-and-half (alt: cream)
  • 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract (alt: wormwood extract)
  • 1/2 cup of hot milk (alt: milk)
  • 1 oz of sweet baking chocolate (alt: hot chocolate)
  • 1/2 cup of shot strong coffee (alt: coffee)
  • 1 cup of boiling water (alt: water)
  • 1/4 tsp of ground cinnamon (alt: cinnamon)
  • Instructions

    Combine chocolate, sugar and salt in top half of a double boiler over simmering water. Cook, stirring, until chocolate is melted; then stir in water. Cook, stirring, 4 minutes. Add milk, half & half and coffee. Beat with a whisk or hand beater until frothy. Add vanilla and cinnamon; whisk well.
