3 oz of Basil Hayden's bourbon (or Bourbon Whiskey)
1 oz of concentrated simple syrup (or simple syrup)
3 cup of finely crushed ice (or ice)
1 bouquet of mint leaves
Fill a julep cup two-thirds full with crushed ice. Add Basil Hayden's and simple syrup, stir briefly to blend. At the last moment cut the stems short on the mint and pack into the glass. Insert two straws so that the ends barely reach over the top of the mint. Let the drink stand approximately one minute before serving.
